On 5 and 6 September, the It4Forest Team attends the Future Forest Forum 2025 in Blankenburg Harz. The FFF 2025 brings together startups, thought leaders, forest owners, investors, and politicians to present solutions for a regenerative forest economy, resilient landscapes, and an innovative bioeconomy. The event explores concrete strategies for how innovative value creation can drive regenerative forestry. Of particular interest are sessions including “Between seeds and sensors: How forest innovation succeeds between practice and start-ups” and “Digital Forests — What Forestry Must Learn from Agriculture.” The session on “seeds and sensors” ill explore how innovation in forestry can thrive at the intersection of practical applications and startup initiatives. It aims to highlight successful case studies and strategies that bridge the gap between traditional forestry practices and modern technological advancements. The session on digital forests will will discuss the lessons that forestry can learn from agriculture, particularly in terms of digital transformation. The focus will be on how digital tools and data can enhance forest management, improve sustainability, and drive economic growth.
