Build4People: Research for better quality of urban life
B4P led by the University of Hamburg, HNEE implements WP#4 on Urban Green. B4P is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research. Duration 2019-2025.
Testing bird detection systems
The Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences (HNEE) is testing sensor-based automatic bird detection systems. These are intended to prevent protected species of raptors and large birds from being injured by the operation of wind turbines.
The project is implemented in cooperation with the Competence Center for Nature Conservation and Energy Transition (KNE) and is funded by the Ministry of Energy of the federal state of Brandenburg.

GeoS4S
The project developed 20 innovative modules involving geospatial data, geospatial technology and ceospatial application which are free‐standing without prerequisites and complement each other. Implemented with universities from China, Austria, Thailand, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. GIS EM
Erasmus Intensive Programme that enhanced the student’s knowledge and skills in geoinformatics, especially, in applying GIS methods and tools in modern forestry, bio-energy, precision agriculture and environmental monitoring and management. Implemented together with Universities from Finland, Norway, Greece and Latvia.
