Tree Digital Twins: AI-based methods for the analysis of 4D point clouds to construct Digital twins

TreeDigitalTwins aims at innovation in AI-based methods for the analysis of 4D point clouds by establishing an interdisciplinary innovation group of young scientists.  Led by the University of Potsdam, HNEE implements a workpackage on AI-based methods.

WanDel4! : Knowledge for Applied Sustainability at German Universities

Testing bird detection systems
Prof Jan Peter Mund with Prof Siegfired Rieger, Project Coordinator: Carsten Gross

The Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences (HNEE) is testing sensor-based automatic bird detection systems. These are intended to prevent protected species of raptors and large birds from being injured by the operation of wind turbines.

The project is implemented in cooperation with the Competence Center for Nature Conservation and Energy Transition (KNE) and is funded by the Ministry of Energy of the federal state of Brandenburg.

Implemented together with Universities from Finland, Norway, Greece and Latvia.
